Cape Charles, VA 23310 (757) 331-1925 Directions: World Healing Institute’s Cobb Island Station facility is located on the seaside of the southern end of the Delmarva Peninsula. We are located approximately 60 miles from the Maryland/Virginia border and 15 miles from the Eastern Shore side of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel. Our address is Cape Charles, but we are physically located near the town of Oyster. Please note: We are in a very rural area of the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Mapquest, Google and GPS devices (TomTom, etc) do not always give accurate directions. The following are the recommended directions: From Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C. Take 495 North around Washington.After you enter Maryland, take Exit 19 for Route 50 East (John Hanson Highway). Follow Route 50 East across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, continuing to Salisbury, MD. In Salisbury, pick up Route 13 South. Stay on Route 13 South into Virginia for approximately 75 miles. Go 3.1 miles past the stoplight in Eastville, past Bloomers Nursery on the right, and Turn LEFT onto Cobb’s Station Road (Route 636). (There is a small green and white sign on the right side of the road to indicate Cobb’s Station Road. Eyre Hall is on the right. If you get to the Shell gas station on the right, you’ve gone too far.) At the end of Cobb’s Station Road, turn RIGHT onto Seaside Road (Route 600). Go approx 1/2 mile on Seaside Rd. Turn LEFT into driveway with split rail entrance marked 21025 Seaside Rd. Follow the driveway for about a half mile to WHI Cobb Island Station.
From Richmond, Norfolk, Virginia Beach and All Points West and South: Take I-64 East from Richmond toward Norfolk or I-64 West from Norfolk and Virginia Beach. Take the exit for Route 13 North (Northampton Blvd) and follow to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel. Toll is $12 (cash and EZ Pass only). * Bridge-Tunnel takes 25 minutes, check gas before crossing. Once across the Bridge-Tunnel, continue on US 13 North for approximately 10 miles (distance from the Eastern Shore’s tollgate). Pass McDonalds and Food Lion on the right, cross over the RR tracks, then immediately Turn RIGHT at the first stoplight, Rt 13 Business N, towards Cheriton. Go 1 mile.Turn RIGHT onto Sunnyside Rd/ (between 2 churches). Go 2 miles on Sunnyside. As you approach 2 miles, you will pass Seaside Rd South on the right, continue 500 feet and Turn LEFT onto Seaside Rd (Rt 600) North. Travel about 1/2 mile.Turn RIGHT at the driveway with a split rail entrance fence marked 21025 Seaside Rd. Follow the driveway a half mile to the Cobb Island Station. (Note: If you miss the left turn at Seaside Rd, you will end up in the harbor town of Oyster and you will know you have gone too far.) *Retain your Bridge-Tunnel toll booth receipt. If you return within 24 hours, the cost is only $5 with the receipt. Observe 55 mph speed limit. CBBT is patrolled. From the Norfolk Airport: There is only one way out of the airport – follow the EXIT signs. Leaving you will be on Norview Avenue. Get in the left lane. At first light take a LEFT on Azalea Gardens.At the next light turn LEFT onto Military Highway. Staying in the left lane, continue to another major intersection (Northampton Blvd). Take a LEFT onto Northampton Blvd (Route 13 North). You will be turning between the Hilton Inn and Hampton Inn. Stay on Northampton Blvd to the toll plaza for the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel. Toll is $12 (cash and EZ Pass only). * Bridge-Tunnel takes 25 minutes, check gas before crossing.
